Community Conversations: Bringing together the Littleton community

Community Conversation: Bringing Together the Littleton Community

What matters most to Littleton and what do we want for our community’s future?

Littleton has been selected as one of a small number of New Hampshire communities to participate in a statewide Community Conversations initiative offered through New Hampshire Humanities and the Community Development Finance Authority (CDFA).

On October 14, we have the opportunity to bring people from across Littleton together to talk about our community – what we value, what matters to us right now, the challenges and opportunities we see, and what we hope for Littleton’s future.

This isn’t a presentation or a traditional community meeting. It’s a conversation, and we want you to be part of it.

What to Expect

The evening will be led by a professional facilitator provided through New Hampshire Humanities, creating space for people to share, listen, reflect, and learn from one another.

Together, we’ll explore questions such as:

  • What do we value most about Littleton?
  • What makes our community a great place to live, work, learn, and connect?
  • What is important to people in Littleton right now?
  • Where do we see challenges and opportunities?
  • What would we like Littleton to look and feel like in the future?

Artist Marek Bennett will also join us to capture the ideas, themes, and stories that emerge, creating a visual record of Littleton’s conversation.

From Conversation to Action

This is more than a single evening of conversation.

Following the event, Littleton will receive a $3,000 Community Activation Grant through the program to support a follow-up project or initiative inspired by what we hear and learn together.

In other words, the conversation can help lead to action.

What emerges from the people in the room will help us identify an opportunity to take something we heard, learned, or imagined together and bring it to life in our community.

Whose Voice Do We Need?

Yours.

A meaningful conversation about Littleton needs many different voices and perspectives in the room.

We hope to bring together people of different ages, backgrounds, experiences, professions, and connections to Littleton.

If you live, work, learn, volunteer, own a business, or otherwise have a meaningful connection to Littleton, your voice belongs in the conversation.

Whether you’ve called Littleton home your entire life or are relatively new to the community, we hope you’ll join us. Free to attend, food will be provided. Space is limited and advanced registration is requested. Come share your perspective. Listen to your neighbors. Connect with someone new, and help shape what comes next for Littleton. RSVP HERE
