Theatre UP on Main Grand Opening
Theatre UP on Main Grand Opening
Join us for the Theatre UP on Main Grand Opening, a community celebration and ribbon cutting ceremony marking the completion of the renovation of 137 Main Street in downtown Littleton, New Hampshire. After nearly five decades of bringing live theatre to the North Country, Theatre UP finally has a permanent home on historic Main Street, and everyone is welcome to help celebrate.
The celebration runs from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., with the official ribbon cutting ceremony beginning at 12:30 p.m. Throughout the day, enjoy building tours, ticket raffles, community activities, and live music. The event is free and open to all ages.
What is Theatre UP on Main?
The newly renovated space at 137 Main Street is Theatre UP’s creative hub, with room for rehearsals, youth theatre classes, workshops, a costume shop, administrative offices, and intimate performances year-round. It expands what the award-winning nonprofit community theatre can offer performers, students, and audiences across northern New Hampshire and Vermont, while mainstage productions continue at the historic Littleton Opera House.
Why it matters
Founded in 1978 as the Upstage Players of NH, Theatre UP has grown into one of the region’s most recognized arts organizations through musicals, plays, youth productions, and arts education. A dedicated downtown space means more classes, more programming, and more opportunities for people of all ages to take part in the performing arts, on stage and behind the scenes. This grand opening marks an exciting new chapter for Theatre UP and the Littleton community.
