DESCRIPTION:Dachtoberfest | Dachshund Festival in Littleton\, NH\nLow riders. Long bodies. Zero chill. Dachtoberfest is a full day of dachshund worship hosted by Tailswag\, Littleton’s own pet shop\, and it has quietly become one of the North Country’s most gleeful traditions. Best part: you can just show up at Littleton’s Remich Park. No tickets\, no admission fee\, no sign-up sheet. \nThe Dachtona 500\nThe main event. Purebred speed\, four inches off the ground. Dachshunds tear down a fenced course while the crowd loses its collective mind\, and it is every bit as glorious as it sounds. Racing is dachshunds only and requires advance registration and an entry fee\, so sign your sausage up early. Spectating is free. \nNot a Dachshund? Still Invited\nEvery friendly\, well-mannered\, leashed dog is welcome. Goldens\, mutts\, a Great Dane looming benevolently over the proceedings\, all good. Leashes stay on at all times\, the only exception being racers inside the fenced Dachtona 500 course. \nVendors\, Merch\, and Good Snacking\nBrowse a lineup of featured vendors slinging dog gear\, handmade goods\, food\, and drink. Bring cash\, since some vendors are cash only\, though others take cards. Official Dachtoberfest merch is available through Tailswag. \nCome Prepared\nThere are some picnic tables and benches\, but seating goes fast\, so throw a camp chair or a blanket in the car.
