Then Mo and Company plays the lawn\, keynote talks from Adaptive Sports Partners and Bethlehem Trails\, and an outdoor screening of Best Day Ever\, the documentary following adaptive mountain bikers Greg Durso and Allie Bianchi through Vermont’s riding community and the world’s first fully adaptive trail network. It is a stunner\, and it is not a sit-quietly-and-clap kind of night. \nThen the Mini Music Fest\nAdventures wrap and the party starts. Way of the Head and The Van Burens take the stage\, the beer tent pours samples from local breweries that actually put money back into the outdoor space\, and everyone compares scrapes and summit photos. \nVendor Tent and Gear Swap\nMeet the local outdoor nonprofits\, brands\, and guide services that make the North Country what it is. It sells out every year\, so don’t sit on registration. \nWhere the Money Goes\nEvery swing helps fund grants for youth sports and the adaptive community. Turtle Ridge Foundation was founded in 2005 by Olympic gold medalist and World Cup champion Bode Miller and his family\, and since then has disbursed over $650\,000: more than $350\,000 to youth sports programs and over $300\,000 to adaptive athletes\, across 1\,200-plus grants with support from 500-plus sponsors. \nSponsorships\nNew options this year alongside the long-standing favorites: tee hole and tee box\, t-shirt\, golf cart\, and ball marker sponsorships\, sized for a range of budgets. Now in its 45th year\, it’s the Lions Club’s biggest fundraiser and one of the best excuses in the North Country to stand on a curb and point at a Model A. \nSaturday: The Parade\nEvery car in the meet rolls down Main Street at 1 p.m.\, with vehicles and drivers introduced as they pass. Grab a spot downtown early\, because the sidewalks fill. Afterward the whole procession heads out on a roughly 20-mile foliage tour through the surrounding hills\, timed for peak color. \nSunday: On the Field\nThe show itself takes over Varney-Smith Field on Meadow Street: rows of antiques\, classics\, hot rods\, and the occasional oddball military rig\, with judging and awards across a long list of classes. Best part: you can just show up at Littleton’s Remich Park. No tickets\, no admission fee\, no sign-up sheet. \nThe Dachtona 500\nThe main event. Purebred speed\, four inches off the ground. Dachshunds tear down a fenced course while the crowd loses its collective mind\, and it is every bit as glorious as it sounds. Racing is dachshunds only and requires advance registration and an entry fee\, so sign your sausage up early. Spectating is free. \nNot a Dachshund? Still Invited\nEvery friendly\, well-mannered\, leashed dog is welcome. Goldens\, mutts\, a Great Dane looming benevolently over the proceedings\, all good. Leashes stay on at all times\, the only exception being racers inside the fenced Dachtona 500 course. \nVendors\, Merch\, and Good Snacking\nBrowse a lineup of featured vendors slinging dog gear\, handmade goods\, food\, and drink. Bring cash\, since some vendors are cash only\, though others take cards.
