White Mountain Science Inc. (WMSI)

White Mountain Science, Inc. (WMSI) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to fostering enthusiasm for STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) among students and educators. Their mission is to cultivate creative problem-solving skills through a variety of programs, including in-school and out-of-school STEM initiatives, professional development and coaching for teachers, and consulting services for educational institutions. WMSI’s offerings encompass on-site day camps in Littleton, New Hampshire, mobile STEM after-school programs across northern New England, and collaborative partnerships with organizations such as Tufts University Center for Engineering Education and Outreach, LEGO Education, FIRST New Hampshire, and the University of New Hampshire.

Central to WMSI’s operations is their Makerspace Classroom, equipped with tools like 3D printers, CNC machines, and laser cutters, providing an ideal environment for building, playing, and learning. This space supports a vibrant culture of STEM innovation in northern New England, offering endless project possibilities for participants. Additionally, WMSI hosts various events and workshops, such as holiday crafting sessions and specialized programs like the “Hearts & Handcrafts: A Valentine’s Workshop,” to engage the community in hands-on STEM experiences.
