Meet the Owner – Emshika Alberini
Emshika Alberini is the owner and head chef of Chang Thai Cafe. With strong roots in Thai culinary tradition and community entrepreneurship, she brings authenticity and passion to every aspect of the restaurant. After earning a master’s degree in organizational management and working in corporate America, Emshika was inspired by the vision of her late sister Ann to establish Chang Thai Cafe in 2008. She has since been recognized as one of New Hampshire’s most influential business leaders and has been featured by Forbes, New Hampshire Magazine, and Food Network.

Chang Thai Cafe is deeply rooted in cultural authenticity and family legacy. Emshika honors her family’s traditions, from her grandmother’s early food entrepreneurship to her mother’s experience cooking for Thai royalty and her sister’s dream of opening a restaurant. The menu reflects this commitment, offering everything from pad Thai and flavorful curries to vegan dishes, sushi, and ramen. In addition to the restaurant, Emshika launched her By Emshika brand of dairy-free, zero-sugar Thai iced tea and coffee beverages made with oat milk and monk fruit sweetener. Her work has earned praise across the culinary industry and recognition throughout New Hampshire.
