For the past year, Sarah and Susan have been working together on a thoughtful and beautifully crafted project. Sarah has created hand-carved, wood-fired stoneware “Home” frames designed specifically to hold Susan’s evocative photographic images. The result is a meaningful union of mediums — earth and image, texture and light.

Each wood-fired frame carries the organic surfaces and natural ash effects that emerge from the kiln’s intense heat. Paired with Susan’s contemplative photography, the work speaks to place, belonging, and the quiet beauty of home.
