Featured Member: Envision Rehab & Performance
This week’s featured member, Envision Rehab & Performance, is a physical therapy practice owned and operated by Dr. Lance Berry, PT, DPT. Located within Littleton Fitness, the clinic provides evidence-based outpatient physical therapy services to help clients restore movement, improve strength, and achieve long-term wellness. Dr. Berry’s approach focuses on combining individualized care with access to a fully equipped fitness environment, creating a seamless transition from rehabilitation to performance training.
A Passion for Helping People Move Better
Dr. Berry’s interest in physical therapy began early in life. “I was very interested in sports when I was younger, and I wanted to learn about the human body,” he explained. After observing family members go through physical therapy and seeing the results they achieved, he decided to pursue the field full-time. “It was just more and more interesting for me. So I went full steam ahead to go to PT school, finished in six years, and started out in outpatient therapy.”
That early passion developed into a professional commitment to helping others regain their mobility and confidence. After working in several clinical settings, Dr. Berry returned to outpatient care, which he describes as his preferred environment. “That’s truly what I enjoy most,” he said. “Generally, the folks are more goal-oriented, like wanting to get back to doing something they previously used to do or can’t do currently due to an injury.”
Returning Home and Meeting Community Needs
Originally from Vermont, Dr. Berry moved back to the North Country after several years working elsewhere. His first local position was with North Country Home Health in Littleton, where he spent three years providing care in the community. During that time, he recognized a significant local need for more outpatient therapy options.
“This is a very underserved area with outpatient therapy,” he said. “There are a few places, but just not enough for the demand or for the need.” That realization, combined with the relationships he built locally, inspired him to open his own practice. Through a partnership with Littleton Fitness owner Marie, he was able to establish Envision Rehab & Performance in a space that supports both private treatment and functional exercise.
A Modern, Functional Therapy Environment
The integration of physical therapy within a gym setting offers unique benefits to both patients and therapist. Dr. Berry emphasized the value of having access to a full fitness facility for client progressions. Dr. Berry noted how the environment supports individualized recovery. “It’s really, truly a huge bonus,” he said. “I have a very comfortable room for treatment, and also the weights and the different things for the higher-level folks who are ready for that. There’s even a turf area where I can work with running and different things with athletes.”
Services Designed for Every Level
Envision Rehab & Performance offers a comprehensive range of services to address orthopedic, sports, and general mobility concerns. The practice provides therapeutic exercises that target strength, flexibility, and joint function. Strength and conditioning programs are available for athletes and active individuals who want to enhance performance. Dry needling is offered to reduce muscle pain and improve mobility by releasing trigger points. Hands-on manual therapy helps restore proper movement and ease discomfort through skilled joint and soft-tissue techniques. Balance and fall prevention programs improve stability, particularly for older adults, while running and gait analysis helps those returning to or improving athletic activity.
Dr. Berry works with a diverse range of patients, from those recovering from surgery to older adults preparing for winter sports. “Right now, for example, I have a few that are wanting to do some skiing this winter, and they’re in their 70s and 80s,” he said. “They’re training and doing therapy with me to try to get on the slopes this winter. People like that are super rewarding to work with.”
Insurance, Accessibility, and Education
Envision Rehab & Performance accepts Medicare and Blue Cross Blue Shield/Anthem insurance plans and offers out-of-network options for other providers. Dr. Berry also places a strong emphasis on patient education, helping clients understand their treatment and maintain progress after therapy.
He encourages community members to take a proactive approach to joint health. “It can be helpful to get screened every so often, just to make sure that you do have the mobility and strength you’re supposed to have,” he said. Comparing musculoskeletal screening to routine dental checkups, he added, “People go in every six months to have their teeth checked. I think people should come in once a year or every six months to have a musculoskeletal screen.”
Supporting Local Wellness
Through his work, Dr. Berry continues to contribute to the overall health and wellness of the Littleton area. His goal is not only to help patients recover but to empower them with knowledge and tools to stay active long-term. Envision Rehab & Performance offers expert care, local accessibility, and a philosophy centered on movement, strength, and prevention.
