Featured member Leash Logic is a professional dog training business owned and operated by Annie Remson. Based in Easton, New Hampshire, Leash Logic provides customized obedience training, enrichment programs, and behavior support for dogs across the White Mountains, Lakes Region, and now the greater Littleton area.
Founded in 2017 and recently rebranded, Leash Logic was built from Annie’s experience training her own high-energy working dogs. “I got my first dog, Baya, in my late 20s,” Annie explained. “She had such high energy that I really realized the importance of integrating training and structure into her everyday life. That’s what started everything.”
A Practical Approach to Obedience and Enrichment
Leash Logic offers a range of services designed to meet dog owners at their level of need. From basic obedience to more advanced public access training, the focus is on practical, results-driven instruction.
“Some people just want really basic obedience,” Annie said. “Sit, down, stay, come. And some people want more, like attention heeling or obedience at a distance. So I offer packages that reflect those differences.”
For those looking for more than traditional training sessions, Leash Logic provides “adventure days,” a form of training-based daycare where dogs go hiking, swimming, or participate in other structured activities. “It’s not just a drop-off doggy daycare,” Annie emphasized. “I train the dog throughout the day. On a hike, for example, I’ll be working on leash manners and recall.”
This approach helps dogs burn energy while reinforcing obedience. It’s especially helpful for elderly clients who want their dogs to experience enrichment that they may not be able to provide on their own.
Expanding Into Littleton
Annie has recently expanded her services north into the Littleton area, recognizing the growing need for year-round pet services. “It seems like Littleton has more permanent, year-round residents than Lincoln,” she noted. “That makes it a great fit for the services I offer.”
With strong ties to Moultonborough and a client base that spans the White Mountains and Lakes Region, this northern expansion positions Leash Logic to serve more dog owners who value expert guidance and customized care.
Advanced Programs Coming Soon
Leash Logic continues to grow. Annie is currently developing programs in agility, nose work, and swimming. These offerings focus on both mental and physical stimulation for dogs.
“Not everyone realizes that some dogs need to be taught how to swim,” Annie said. “I do swimming lessons at Beaver Pond, where it’s easy to get in and out. It really helps build the dog’s confidence.”
Agility training will begin soon on her property in Easton. “Right now, it’s just about teaching dogs to go over a jump or walk on a balance beam,” she said. “Eventually, I’d like to build it into competition-level training.”
Detection Services Through On Call K9s
In addition to Leash Logic, Annie operates a second business, On Call K9s, which focuses on scent detection. One of her German Shepherds, Hunter, is a certified narcotics detection dog. “I’ve done searches for parents who want to check their child’s room,” Annie explained. “If my dog alerts, I just leave a post-it note. I don’t touch anything. I’m not law enforcement, I just let them know there was an alert.”
Annie is also training her Belgian Malinois in human remains detection. “Tukka is on his way to certification. I want to volunteer with search and rescue teams,” she said. Her other dog, Joker, is being trained to find historic human remains such as old graves, allowing her to assist in more specialized recovery efforts.
Her services are also available for businesses, schools, and law enforcement agencies in need of contract detection services. “I could be called in to search an office or assist departments without an available K9,” she said. “If there’s an alert, it’s up to the organization how they want to proceed.”
Training for Real Life
Whether it’s detection work or obedience training, Annie is committed to giving dogs the mental and physical challenges they need to thrive. “Working dogs need stimulation every day,” she explained. “Even pet dogs benefit from small exercises like ‘place’ training while their owner is watching TV or doing the dishes.”
This holistic approach to dog behavior and training defines Leash Logic. It’s not about quick fixes, but about building lasting routines and structure that benefit both dogs and their owners.
