Youth Entrepreneur Fair

Youth Entrepreneur Fair

The Youth Entrepreneur Fair, a collaboration between the Littleton Area Chamber of Commerce and the folks at Bethlehem Events, creates a hands-on opportunity to foster the North Country’s next generation of entrepreneurs by equipping young people with practical skills, real-world experiences, and the confidence to turn ideas into action.

The inaugural event is on Saturday, September 13, from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM at Bethlehem’s Gazebo Park. This event gives youth 18 and under a chance to start and run their own small businesses for a day. This partnership combines local business support with event planning experience to create an opportunity focused on learning, creativity, and community involvement.

Youth Entrepreneur Fair

Learn, Build, and Sell

Participants will receive business mentorship over the summer to help them prepare. These learning sessions will include topics like:

  • Managing money and budgeting
  • Talking to customers
  • Setting up a product booth
  • Pricing products and tracking sales
  • Promoting and marketing a product

Local business owners and community members will lead these sessions. They will share their knowledge and give students practical tips to help them succeed at the fair.

Products Must Be Made by Participants

To participate in the Youth Entrepreneur Fair, every participant must create the products they plan to sell. Items must be handmade by the youth business owners. This rule helps ensure that all items are original and that participants are involved in every part of the process.

Products may include crafts, baked goods, artwork, simple inventions, or other creative items. Participants will learn how to build, package, and present their products to customers.

Skills That Will Last

This event gives young people a chance to practice important skills. These include:

  • Planning and organizing a business
  • Creating a brand and business name
  • Communicating clearly with customers
  • Handling money and understanding profits
  • Taking initiative and following through on a goal

Parents and teachers will see how this experience helps build confidence and real-world understanding.
