Featured Member: Littleton Crossfit

This week’s featured member Littleton Crossfit stands out as a dynamic fitness community committed to transformation, inclusivity, and high-impact results. Owned and operated by Meg Kennedy, Littleton Crossfit offers programming for all ages and experience levels with a focus on empowerment, consistency, and measurable progress.

A Passion-Driven Fitness Journey

Before purchasing Littleton Crossfit, Kennedy coached at the gym for four years, building relationships and gaining firsthand experience with the CrossFit methodology. Her own introduction to CrossFit came after the birth of her children, inspired by a friend’s transformation through a six-week boot camp. That experience was pivotal.

“I watched her transformation over the six weeks, her energy level, her joy in life, and I was like, oh my goodness, I have nothing to lose. Let’s go,” Kennedy said. “From the first class I was hooked. The results, the group atmosphere, everything changed, my body, my attitude, my energy.”

That personal transformation soon led to coaching, certification, and eventually, ownership of the Littleton facility.

Community at the Core

Littleton Crossfit serves 80 to 100 members at any given time, including youth participants in rotating six-week sessions. The member base ranges in age from 13 to 74, with the community recently celebrating four members turning 70.

Kennedy emphasizes the gym’s inclusive environment. “It’s really an amazing atmosphere where no matter your walk in life; age, gender, economic background, we all come together. None of that matters in our space. You all have this common goal of becoming the best version of yourself.”

This community spirit is one of the cornerstones of the gym’s identity. Classes are designed to challenge each athlete at their own level, with attentive coaching and mutual support throughout.

Efficiency and Results

CrossFit is known for its fast-paced, high-efficiency workouts that combine weightlifting, gymnastics, and cardio elements. The goal is functional fitness, building strength and endurance for real-life activities.
“I think the efficacy and efficiency of our program are something that is rivaled by none,” Kennedy said.

“You put in six weeks of commitment and dedication, and you actually walk away with profound changes. It’s not just about getting fit. It’s about seeing your energy, confidence, and outlook on life improve.”

Kennedy notes that for many people, taking the first step is the hardest. “Most people view CrossFit with admiration and intimidation. They think it can’t possibly be for them. But I hear it all the time; people finally show up and say, ‘I wish I started sooner.’”

Youth and Adult Programs

Littleton Crossfit offers multiple programs tailored to different age groups and goals. The adult CrossFit classes run regularly and include members with various levels of experience. The youth program is structured in six-week blocks and designed to build confidence, strength, and physical literacy.
More detailed information about each offering is available on the gym’s website, including their specialty services and coaching staff bios.

Upcoming Event: The North Country Classic

This fall, Littleton Crossfit will host its first-ever competition, the North Country Classic, a team-based event expected to attract athletes from across New England.

“We’re expecting to draw athletes from Massachusetts, Connecticut, and of course locally,” said Kennedy. “CrossFit has turned fitness into a sport, so we’re highlighting that hard work, weightlifting, gymnastics, cardio, and bringing it together in a competitive but supportive format.”

The event will include cash prizes, and sponsorships are currently available. Interested businesses can reach out via email to team@littletoncrossfit.com to learn more about sponsorship opportunities.

An Invitation to Try

Whether you’re new to fitness or returning after time away, Kennedy encourages anyone curious about CrossFit to give it a try.

“Get in the door. That’s the first step. You’ll be so glad you did,” she said. “It’s something I hear from people all the time… ‘I put it off for years and now I wish I’d started sooner.’”

Littleton Crossfit remains committed to building a welcoming, high-impact fitness environment where every member is supported in becoming the strongest version of themselves.
