LISBON AREA HISTORICAL SOCIETY
2026 NH PRESERVATION ACHIEVEMENT AWARD WINNER
(for rehabilitation and adaptive use of the Lisbon Area Historical Society Museum (the c. 1915 Historic Lisbon Congregational Church Parish House NH State Register of Historic Places), and commitment to regional heritage.

“Our small nonprofit set a lofty goal of finding a permanent home to house our history museum and then exceeded its expectations by purchasing a historic building in our small North Country town of Lisbon, population 1,600. It was an ambitious uphill battle that now seems like it was effortless, because of the overwhelming support of our many donors who trusted and believed in our work and continue to do so, and a NHCDFA Tax Credit Grant. We are so grateful, and we will honor their trust by working and growing as we continue to fulfill our promise to preserve and promote the history of Lisbon, Lyman, and Landaff.” -Andrea M. Fitzgerald, LAHS Curator-Historian
