About the Littleton Area Chamber of Commerce

ABOUT THE CHAMBER

The Littleton Area Chamber of Commerce was established on May 12, 1921, and remains a hub of information, resources, and opportunities to grow businesses to this day.

At the time of incorporation, the Chamber’s objective was to “secure a union of the energies, influence, and action of the citizens in all matters pertaining to the moral and material welfare of Littleton, and bring into the closest unity all the civic, industrial, commercial, professional, and agricultural interest of the community in order that there may be concentrated in one central body all its unity, energy, and interests; to encourage all legitimate business enterprises; to disseminate though the press and otherwise, information relative  to the advantages of Littleton as a field for industrial activities and a place of residence; to assist and when expedient, direct public movements which have for their purpose the betterment of the community, to promote the prosperity, comfort, and general well-being of all our citizens; to stimulate civic pride and progress, and in short make a bigger, better, and busier Littleton.”

About the Littleton Area Chamber of Commerce

Though much has changed since 1921, the Chamber’s focus remains unwavering today. We still believe strongly in the welfare of our citizens and the economic betterment of our community.

In 1980, Chamber leadership voted to add the word “Area” to the Littleton Chamber of Commerce, incorporating a more regionalized approach to our efforts and recognizing Littleton’s unique role as a hub community serving all residents from surrounding communities. Today, we proudly serve members from all surrounding communities, including entities in the Northeast Kingdom of Vermont.

Through our local, state, and federal connections and leveraged relationships with our members, we work tirelessly each day to fulfill our mission of economic and community development in the Littleton area.
